What if Olivia doesn’t die (in this timeline at least). What if the “harmonic vibrations” from that soul-magnet-bell that William Bell has in his office ‘activates’ Olivia completely and somehow turns her to his dark side. Maybe he’ll add her to his collection of super species that are already in his ark to bring into his brave new world… And if she’s pregnant - well then she can give birth to the mother of what will eventually become the Observers. She could still be alive in 2036, only she’s no longer our!Olivia. At least not until she’s rescued by the ‘old team’ & her daughter who managed to escape…

Maybe Capt Lee is alive. At the end there he knew something was up, and maybe he became suspicious of our!Linc (afterall, the shapeshifter didn’t kill him), and though maybe he still trusted Liv, he couldn’t really talk to her because they weren’t alone, and he was too busy dying.
Maybe when he got to the hospital - he was fixed, but the Secretary, having become suspicious/aware that there’s a significant leak in the FD sets him on an extra classified mission to find out who. A mission he can only complete if he pretends to be dead.
(I don’t know where to fit Nick Lane into this. But he’s mixed up in it somehow.)
Or, he really could be dead.
So it was Alt!Nina working with DRJ, and not a shapeshifter. Cool, cool, cool. But I wonder how Alt!Nina got her bionic arm, and who made it for her.
When did she turn up? Who does she work for when she’s not working with DRJ? What do they really, really want?
